Burning Out?

I can't make my tires spin if my life depended on it. I have Toyo Proxes4, could they just have that good of a grip.

is your car auto or standard ? traction control ? it should be able to spin either way especially since you own a svt ..

yer not doin it right then...hit around 3k drop then feather the clutch. its real easy to do unless you have 18s like me and a zx3, but with stock 15s i could light it up like no other. good luck it takes practice just dont wreck yer car

^^^That's the only correct answer shown so far.
And, yes, he does have TC, as the EAP came with all options including the winter package with the non-defeatable TC.

Dussin:
Welcome to the club of non-burnout capable SVTs.
While you can turn off the TC with the button on the console (the light will be "ON" on the dash), it does not turn off below 20mph.
You can try whatever technique you want, but no matter what...no smoke show...period.
As soon as a tire spins, it's going to cut timing and apply the brakes to stop the wheels from spinning.

The only way around it, is to get an aftermarket tune that will completely defeat the TC.
Or, pull fuse #46 under the dash, though I highly recommend against this,
unless it's strictly to run down the 1/4 mile dragstrip.
You'll lose ABS and all brake proportioning by pulling the fuse.

I'm definitely able to chirp my Toyo Proxes4 tires with TC off at launch. Spinning them really requires removing the #46 fuse (7.5A) under the dash though.

there is definetly nothing more embarassing than trying to go from a dig with a car and almost stalling. maybe its God telling me not to drive dangerously. haha.
