Problems Starting My SVTF.

I had posted a few months back about my car having some kind of 5 second delay start.

Well, I've taken my car to the dealership now 3 times with the same problem, and they can't seem to find whats is wrong with the car. Periodically my car decides not to start. I turn the key and the starter turns but it will not turn on the car. I try and try and the car wont turn on, then finally it floods. I spent all this past weekend trying to turn on my car and it did not turn on.

Does anyone have any idea what can be happening with the car. It only has 18K, and now I ran out of warranty.

Maybe get them to upload the newest YRF0 tune for the car...before I had mine, my car would act funny cranking at times. After the Dealer Tune, the problems went away.

Of course, my aftermarket tune helped even more!

I had similar problems, and between trip 5 and 6 trips I installed Wayne's SRI and was told 'it's because you have a short ram intake so your engines running lean'

On that note of total bullshit I gave up on dealer / ford incompetence. MSD coil, ford racing wires, and new copper plugs fixed everything up just fine. It's been turning right over for about 13,000 miles now.

If your rides still under warrantee, it'll run you $0 plus a free rental...but for the aftermarket tune, you're looking around $300-$450.

Thanks for all the help. I will look into the MSD+Wires+Plugs first, and then tune. I guess I'm kind of glad its messing up, it gives me an excuse to upgrade.
