New SVT Focus owner

Well actually I bought it for my wife. Man this car is a blast to drive. I actually enjoy driving it better than my mustang. It's an 03 with 22k miles. CD Silver with red inserts, audiophile, HID's and moon roof. Only mod when we got it was the AEM cai, but I have since installed a ford racing sts and cfm rear mount. I have a diablo on its way from focus power. I'm actually going to sell the AEM intake. I'm scared the wife will forget and drive through some water so if youre interested contact me. Dont know yet what I'll get to replace it. So far I am getting about 32mpg. Is that about normal? Also what is the oild capacity? 4.5 quarts? Anyways, here are some pics. The car was a one owner and obviously very well taken care of.

Just curious how much did you pick it up for? I'm looking for an identical fairly unmolested svt like yours (03,04 5 door). Thanks

Yes, 4.5 quarts, I put 5 in and it's not a problem.

About the mileage, try a lower gear and more throttle.

Just a hair over 12k before taxes and the bs paperwork fees, but they did give me over market value for my trade so I'd say it could have been bought for around 11,500.

Awesome, and if that's from a dealer then if I find a private party one it should be a tad cheaper.

Hope your wife enjoys it!

Hey, is that a "dead pedal" I see in the 2nd pic, or is that an optical illusion???

Welcome to FF! There are a couple things I'm curious about.

First, you have no battery cover. Second, I don't think the relay and wiring that's attached to the driverside strut tower is stock. And lastly, like WD40 asked, what's up with the dead pedal? It looks like sound deadener.

You should definitely give the wife the Mustang! LOL

Thanks, I got it from a Toyota dealership where the original owner traded it in for a new Prius. So the stuff under the floormat is a protective piece of plastic from when they detailed it. Thats also why the floormats are upside down in the pic. Dont know why the battery cover is missing, but I bought one so that will be fixed soon. I will check the wiring tonight when I get home to see whats up with it. Do you have a pic of what it should look like?
