ORP question

Alright, I have been talking with a few of my friends who like to keep up with new regulations and rumor has it that starting in 2007 emissions checks in Colorado will no longer be nessicary for registration in the state, thus I am seriously considering putting an orp on my svtf, in addition I'll be adding a tune from Tom and an AEM cold air intake, as well as lightweight wheels, either kazera kz-v or oz ultraleggera 17x7's and 215/40/17 falken rt 615's, so anyway, any suggestions as far as orp's are concerned or other easy mods that I am missing?

I'm in Fort Collins, at least most of the time, I do have family in the springs though, so I am down there about once a month, so has anyone else heard the same rumor?

I say, go for it. I've heard they're great. Everyone has suggested I get one, but great beautiful CA won't allow it. . . .

you'll enjoy it.. :)

as far as emissions checks down here in VA they only check to make sure that you are not pulling any check engine lights which would indicate if the cat was not working - which is nice since with a tune you can have the signla from the second O2 ignored in the ecu...

do they actually use a "sniffer" to see whether your car still has a cat up there?

In Colorado before the change goes into effect they do indeed use a sniffer to measure the ppm of all the different crap that they care about that could come out of your exhaust, but with the new reg's taking effect you can register a vehicle older than 4 years without any emissions testing, nor will you ever be subject to an emissions test during a citation, so the emissions regulations are still there, they just aren't being enforced on aftermarket parts, so orp's are a good thing to look into if you are a CO resident, I believe the change takes place on Jan 1, 2007
