You can hear it more than you can feel it.
Um, see here:
5,000's rpm's and no show

2002-2003 stock tunes had the DSI switching at 6,000rpm.
Both had factory tune (Dealer) "reflashes" that changed the switchover to 5,000rpm.
2004 stock tunes, and most every aftermarket tune has it switching at 5,000rpm.

WD40, I have a 2002 SVT. How can I tell if the "flash" has been done, and where can I get it done if it hasn't.

I'm on my way to pick up the car from the shop where they have just installed a new DSI module. Two weeks ago they did the clip, but I got the CEL again later that day. Haven't had time till now to get it fixed.

My DSI switches at 6k RPM for sure, its a pretty noticible change in intake sound, and seems to pull a little harder...I guess when I buy my tune it'll switch at 5k :)

WD40, I have a 2002 SVT. How can I tell if the "flash" has been done, and where can I get it done if it hasn't.
Here's how to check and see what rpm it's openning at:
http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...58&#post739358
If it's at 6,000, chances are you still have the original factory tune.
An updated tune for your car should be "YRF0" (Zero, not O).
If you do a search for YRF0, you'll find tons of info...
If you're still under the factory warranty, any Dealer should be able to update it.
If not...buy your own tune.
