Exclamation Engine removal ::PICTURES::

Pics added

Today at noon I thought "Hmm, I guess I should go get a little bit of work done on my car since Tom's motor should be here in about 3 weeks (actually; 2 weeks, 6 days, 19 hours, 24 minutes, 39 seconds - but who's counting). So, I pulled up to my moms house, parked int he garage, casually set up the jack stands and took the wheels off. I said "Today, turbo piping and battery and that should get a bit out f the way." Done in 30 minutes. "Ok, I'll just get some of the loose ends and take my time to organize."

Well, 5 hours later....

Front bumper is off, headlights, rad support, entire cooling system, Intake manifold, turbo/ manifold, downpipe, ignition, valve cover, power steering lines and AC moved to the side. Belt is off, alternator, starter, shift cables are moved to the side.

All thats left to do, pull head and send to Tom, remove both axles and yank motor.

You outta see the car...its in peices. The car is in the garage, and all the parts removed are down in the basement in their own little sections with bolts. The motor will be out next tuesday. I need to get my hands on a hoist so I can do this...I might order one, havent decided.

I can't wait, hopefully there isnt a huge line of work to do in front of my motor....I'm car-less for at least three weeks...ugh.

Edit: Adding pictures and announcing its now going to be a Focus-Power long block going in with larger valves to boot!!

Empty Engine Bay

Engine with out cams sitting next to the transmission...

Check your VF mount! Not only is the bushing wiped, look how the part that mounts to the subframe is elongated!!

Toms manifold and modified T3 Super 60

Parts strewn about my parents basement

There, you see destruction...happy!?

Heck I was burnt out about 2 days into my JRSC install...lol I can only imagine what you are going through. However, I had to have my car driveable by Monday....Talk about pressure.

Yeah, I really need a driveable car, but its getting worse with every mile; so I had to do this anyhoo. Figured I'd get a head start. At least I only have about 30 minutes of work left (remove axles) and then I can pull the motor out.

Kruptminz, I understand the small working area aspect of it. Makes things so much more interesting, huh.
