List of good stuff for focus

Well I decided with this car that I should just do it and stop thinking about it, SOO this is a list of incomeing mods for my little engine that could. starting with first thing first to be recieved.
Bare block and head for SVTF
JE pistons,10.5/1 #185916
Manley Rods H-beam #MAN-14309-4
Jackson SCS #995-100
Steeda STS #?
MarcyMotorSportclutch #MM-SSCS-20SO
FocusSport
R Stress bar #fs035
F Stress bar #fs030
R Sway bar #71665
F Sway bar #70665
R engine mount #fs045
UDP Kit #fs040
Alum Flywheel #fsalumfwsvt
Quaife #qf309190
Slotted rotor F #fs072s
Slotted rotor R #fs073s

Other parts needed but not yet available so this will grow. I can't Find the exhaust system I want so I'll haft to look some more. Now hope fully I can get the car finished by 2006 and it wont Require more than 500 hours of are labor. And the biggest question of all, for this amount of money why don't I just buy an SVT stang or a viper, well it's the challeng and it will give me and my father some time to spend together. We are only here for so long you know.

Sounds like you've got some fun ahead of you. Good luck to you and your father, and I'll be looking forward to updates.

No offense but you really might want to think about revising that list before you get those parts, it really doesn't make sense. Also 500 hours of labor, I'd say probably closer to 20-30 hours, if that. Just one thing with those pistons your rasing compression, so why go with non-intercooled, f/i? If anything I'd lower compression. Also with JRSC 995-100 you'd be lucky to see anything over 210whp out of it.

get a vortech blower. It comes with a water to air aftercooler..which is sweet. especiually if you live ina hot area like I do. They claim 274hp at the crank on 9 psi..it's 4k though.

I agree with SVT03.
Go with a Vortech unit. Definitly more bang for the buck..
Also glad to see you want to STOP as well as you want it to GO..
As for exhaust BORLA is definitly the best....
Good Luck

So Dave What your saying is to go with the 9/1 compression and Get a turbo instead.
This is why I posted this so every body could take a look and pick it to death. Keep it comeing.
We would like to take are time and with a bare block and head It's going to be o.k. to. Plus the quality time is what I'm looking for and this is what interest the both of us. To be completely honest I don't care if I mod the car it's the time together and the longer it takes the better. I have all ready orderd the block and head but the rest is what needs to be picked through. I havn't even picked the valves, springs, cams, etc yet so any help on that would be great to.

i think its great that you and your father are doing this. YOu seem like the kind of guy who is into your car for the enjoyment and not just being able to go super fast and pull nice 1/4 times and i respect that greatly. Hope all goes well for you!

9:1 is good, but hes not saying get turbo, hes saying f/i... any sort of forced induction.

you may want to look into cam companies to see if someone will make a grind, and custom valves...from what i know all you can do is get the head and have some port work/angle job done on the head. but i doubt the cams would be worth the cash for the route your going

good luck

I would stick with SVT computer and wait till focus sports releases there cams, but in all reality if you want big power you could just leave internals alone and get Tom's get, he's putting out good numbers. If it was mine I'd do something crazy like 12+:1 and wait for the cams and just get the head ported and big valve, if they even do the big valve thing to zetec heads. Also I imagine you are going to put down some decent numbers and I have heard nothing abut great things about the clutchmasters stage 4 clutch, might be a bit of a overkill for now, but I saw do it right the first time. if you go f/i and insist on redoing bottom end I would go with 9:1, and probably vortech or turbo, all depending how mucch hp you want and how much you have to spend. Also the only cams I have heard of in development are n/a cams so I would guess for f/i you would be fine with stock cams for now.
