New SVT engine purchase?

Engine is toast

Are there any reliable and trustworthy vendors to purchase an engine from? The Ford dealership wants 4100 + labor for a new engine. I also just emailed FousSalvage. Any other places I should look into?

This is for my dads 02 SVT. the mechanic he took it to ran the car with no oil by accident(idiot!) I told him to make the guy pay for everything but he asked me to try to find sources for another engine, don't know why.

I have them rebuilt in the 3500.00 range with eagle rods and forget pistons ETC. for a complete engine

Should be able to find a good one for ~$1500 or maybe less. What's happening to the old engine?

NO!!! dont let that guy get away with that crap... he's making ur dad push out $4k at least when it was his fault... hint: when a shop takes ur car in for service (anything from oil to rebuild) they are fully responsible for anything and everything that happens to that car while in their care... this is straight up BULL SH!T... it's WRONG!!! please do not let this guy get away with destroying a good motor...

dude if he blew up your engine...make that SOB pay for it!!! Dont let sh!t like that happen. It was his fault the engine blew up, therefore either him or whatever company he works for needs to pay for it. If they wont, call the better buisness buerua (sp??) or call a lawyer.

thank you for the help and support guys.

I still dont know the situation right now BUT I hope it will be resolved quickly - it is a damn fun car to drive. I am in contact with Focus Salvage right now so I will see what will happen.

and about the old engine, I have no idea what my dad wants to do with it. I may keep it for him and sell it. would be good for a rebuild for somebody.
