Unhappy I hit a curb!

I didn't hit a curb on the side of the road. There was a piece of curb in the middle of the street. Anyway it put a ding in my header and knocked out the lower bolt from where the header conects to the rest of the exahust. I know I have to replace the bolt ,but is the ding in the header going to harm my performance? It's not huge. It's about the size of a quarter.

A little ding shouldn't hurt that much...
It's your O2 sensors that I'd be worried about.
They don't take to shock very well.

Well so far no engine light. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

There, I fixed it for you

Sorry about your car, though. I'm sure you'll be more careful next time!

I actually did exactly the same thing as achilleus, except it wasnt raining, i just tried to show off and go too fast...broken rim, fender, struts, etc...no estimate yet, but I feel your pain...fortunatly, the girl wasnt in the car...she just saw the after effects...where is this O2 sensor located and should i be worried about it as well?

i suppose i was going too fast for the conditions... thing is i always do powerslides n shit in the snow, i got overconfident

well the good news is that me n my dad spent all day today repairing it... just now at 735 eastern time, i started the car and got it to move!!!!! hopefully the accident will just bring the relationship closer (me + car, as well as me + my fave girl). Gmcfly yours looks so much worse than mine, i feel so bad for you cuz i know how it must feel. I hope we all learn from this, and try to prevent it from happening again. Im thankful i didnt get hit by someone else, it couldve been alot worse.

o2 sensor is near the bottom, its like, right at the bend of the exhaust pipe after the catalytic converter. You should see a plug and cable sticking out from it.

thanks achilleus, any chance u could describe to me some of the steps u took to get it moving again on your own?...im looking for the O2 sensor right now, if you could describe any of the steps you took, it would be greatly appreciated considering we have almost the exact same problems...thanks!

EDIT: found the O2 sensor and it seems to be centralized and far enough away from the passenger side wheel area that I doubt it got damaged at all, but I did find it in case I run into any problems
