Svt Replacement Axle Or Oem Only?

Does anyone know where I can find a front (drivers side) axle for an svt?

The local dealer wants nearly $400.00 for the axle assmebly, and the local parts suppliers do not have the 6-speed info on their pc's.

I ordered one from Auto zone, and it doesn't match up, must be for a zetec 5-speed.

I tried looking online, but no luck. The ford dealer gave me the part Ys4z3436da; I had to ask him twice for the part number as I could hardly understand his english so it may not be right.

Thanks!
G.

I kept looking at used cars, most being the 2.3 focus. When I came across the 03 zx5 svt I drove the next day to see it. I got it for $4,000 w/39,000 mís.

The damage includes:
front left fender, inner plastic, steering inner tie-rod, L.rotor broke in half, L.b. pads missing, axel pulled away from transmission connector, lower control arm broken at ball-joint, f.L. strut may be bent, stabilizer bar-link broke at bottom, f.L. rim ate away from asphalt, driver rocker panel dent, back left rear panel damage, both front and rear bumper needs replacement.

There is no front core support damage or frame damage at the front left side or back of the vehicle. The car starts fine and sounds smooth. The damage appears to be from spinning out of control, maybe hitting a curb, and smacking a wall; I donít think another vehicle was involved. I am anxious to fix her up right, and drive her like she was intended.
