Question Tuner question

Hello!

I've recently purchased a 2004 SVT ZX5 and have been pleasantly surprised by how similar it drives to my "old" SVT Contour-however, I've found that the Focus responds well to flashers, unlike the Contour.

My problem is, I have a fiend that totalled his SVI Focus and actually has an SCT Xcalibrator 2 that is locked....SCT wrote me an e-mail saying they will unlock it, but that it has to go through a certified SCT dealer before they'll unlock it (I guess they want a set of numbers from the module itself).

My friend bought this unit from Wayne at Hypnotic Illusions.....I've tried e-mailing him, but from what I understand here, he's MIA. I've sent Tom a PM....maybe he can help. Anyone know of any shops in New England/northeast area that can do this? I did find a shop in CT that offered to re-program the flasher for 200(!) for 1 (one) tune.....I'm new at this, but that sounds like a ripoff to me, so I'm looking elsewhere. Any help would be awesome.

BTW, any opinions on the AEM CAI? My buddy is going to hook me up with the one that was on his car for cheap.....every car is different with CAI's; I had a 5.0L Mustang that responded well to a March CAI, but not K&N's... I already have a Magnaflow cat-back that was installed professionally at the dealership I purchased this car from before I purchased it.

Call Focus Sport they do tons of work with flashers and there support is second to none. Even if you didnt buy it there I wouldnt be suprised if they could help you with the flasher.

Also did you try going back to the wrecked svt with a battery and a screw driver and see if you could get the flash off it? or is it OWNED?

Anyways FS website is the name Focussport.com and there number is on there ask for Randy or Ivan.

Hey, thanks for your reply!!!

Yeah, my buddy said the car was trashed and just towed away from the scene....he was rear-ended, so he kept some items that he's going to sell me cheap:)

I tried contacting Tom at focus sport here, and I will try Randy or Ivan thanks again!!!!
