SVT Tachometer and Driver
just bought an aftermarket digital tachometer.
I know the SVT already has a tachometer (duh haha) but I wanted one placed higher up so I could see it better.
tl;dr being a boy racer
My question is,
To install the tach, I need to tap into a tach signal. After reading some forums I can't deduce if the SVT has a tach signal, or if I'll need the tach driver to produce a signal (some say tap into pin 48 for the spi's and duratechs, but upon further reading the SVT pin 48 doesn't give off any power). This doesn't make sense to me, because the SVT already has a tach on it, so it has to have a tach signal wire right? What powers the basic tachometer? And can I tap into that? I want to gather some info, before I go tearing into my dash haha.
