Finally got my center console to the point where I think im done.
I was real unhappy with the way it was setup from the factory, it was as if Ford intentionally wanted the ST's shifter, boot, and ebrake to look fake and plasticy. And that arm rest was just god awful, I couldn't actually shift properly with it in the way.
Anyway my goal was to make it look like a factory effort, but done properly instead of cheap looking. I got rid of the armrest and replaced the console with one from an SVT I got from another member, and modified the shifter surround with the buttons to fit. I picked up a new SVT ebrake handle off of ebay, and replaced both boots with custom made Redline leather boots. The last step was cutting about 2" of the stock shifter, and adding a spun metal shift knob.
All together I think it looks ALLOT better, without feeling aftermarket or tacky. Let me know what you think!
