I think sort of permanent wiring is a bit of a long shot, if it is messed up you can actually screw up the entire car, we all know how ''precious'' these cars are in regards to trying to change something around and then ..... nothing works. LOL
I put leds in my mirrors blinkers (just a mod, up close it's a bit messed up but looks good from a distance) and even then that car gave me some issues.... pretentious little spoiled car, WTF LOL

power seats FTW!!

pulled off of a CSVT review
Quote:
It took us only a little hunting to find the power driver's seat controls, seat shaped and on the front left corner. Cupholders? Two, molded in, with mug-handle cutouts.

Her Splendidness reports from the back seat: "The changes to the configuration of the rear seat make it an awful lot more comfortable for passengers. As well as cutting out some of the back of the front seat, for some reason the angle at which you happen to be sitting means there's more room for my knees, which is very nice. The seats seem to have adequate back support; they are not vast, but they seem to be comfortable." The rear seat is an even more noticeable improvement for us larger types, even when seated behind Mr. John Bugsy "Free Lunch" Lawlor of Car Talk, no Lilliputian he. The seat backs fold down 60/40 to allow visits to your luggage.

haha i know, but they really work well and Fofo people around here are like ''what's that I didn't get that on my Focus'' LOL. It's all about the originality of modding, I say. Everyone have their own ideas about it, some are good, some doubtfull and some really questionnable, but it's all about doing what You want.
We only did 30 posts ?? LOL that's what this site is for I guess, talking about ideas and giving some assistance here and there.

LOL good review, so you see that there is quite a bit of chance that this all will work out. Just take your time and if it get's to you just walk away and clear your mind. I used to loose my temper BIG TIME while working on my cars, hence I even burned one to the ground LOL. I'm very confident that this is a good and original idea and will work out.

Thanks, LOL, and I hope it does work out. I figure one of those wires has to be for power, right? I guess that's all it REALLY needs.... and I think the harness for the focus has a ton of wires on it but they only hook up to a few (probably 2) boxes.

I haven't looked at mine since but from memory, there's one ground, one power, one for heating, on for adjusting seat. Don't take this for granted, I might be wrong here. I will check tomorrow and get back to you about this. Under your seat there's only one connection (male) with all the wires in there and the seat has the female side so to speak, you connect both boxes (like a plug) and all should work however you need to figure out how the wires are from the CSVT seat and then connect all accordingly. Also if you don't have heated seats installed already, you will have to ground and install a switch for that, you don't want your bunns toasted LOLOLOL

hehe no I don't.... our other car has heated seats and those things get hot. LOL! I dunno if the contour has heated seats though, but it'd be cool if it did. but if it did, I assume it might be with the seat control buttons...

edit: well here's a better view of the seats from this side. YES they look kinda funky and YES they are really that purple color. LOL.

edit: and this is the rear bench...
