moter mounts

My car makes a weird vibrating noise when i put it in reverse, my friend said it might be a moter mount. What kind of and who (if any) makes the best mounts for the focus lx?

I have the Energy Suspension bushings. The only caution I have is that they will transmit more vibrations into the car. Some people have objected to this and gone back to stock. Call Tony D @ New Edge Performance and get a set to try. I think they were less than $20 with shipping. All you gotta do is knock the old ones out and install the new ones. It's easy to do.

Well, I thought it was easy. .....Really, it was easy., I think you went about it the hard way. To get the stock bushings out, heat them up with a torch until the edges start to bubble, then knock them out. Wait for the metal to cool, clean off the mount, coat the bushing with the grease provided, remove the center section and tap in the bushing. Then tap in the center section.

You gotta learn to work smart, not hard. Some of this will come with age. I'm old enough to be some of y'alls Daddy..........
