I take excellent care over my vehicles. Synthetic or synthetic blend, preventative maintenance, early oil changes, (not too early but a couple hundred miles), Napa filters or motorcraft, transmission fluid flushes (I've only ever owned manual), coolant flushes, brake fluid changes, power steering, all that stuff. I let my cars warm up before I drive them (not so much in the spring/summer but definitely in the winter. Especially here in New England), I wash and wax regularly, gas treatment every oil change, you name it

I don't think you'll have a problem.

I also ran mine in full syn M1 and only changed the oil once a year. Wix oil filters, power steering flushes, etc. It ran awesome when I got rid of it at 155k miles (only because I was bored of it), and never had the head off for any reason. We lived on the prairies back then, and driving in -30C conditions was really common

I also never really babied the car, but I'd replace things that weren't even due for replacement. Like wheel bearings, brake cylinders, shoes, struts and coils on all 4 corners, sway bar end links, blah, blah, blah. Basically I over-maintained the car and took a huge loss when I sold the car for $1500 in the mid late 2000's. For the person who bought it, the car was easily worth twice that much.
