Angry Disapointed is an UNDERSTATEMENT

I bought and installed a Magnaflow exaust 2 1/4 catback system. Well I start up my car, go for a ride and discover that my car sounds EXACTLY like every Honda with a bolt on FART PIPE. If any of you have this system and have a diffrent sound please tell me b/c now I am having to install a silencer to keep down the embaresment of driving. Also I have a race header and I know that makes it alot louder but if I throw a catalitic converter in after the header will that keep down the noise? Right now I am willing to sacrafice HP for the security of knowing I dont sound like $hit.

doesnt magnaflow sell a stealth kit? That may be what you need.

Smile

What i did to have a nice sound and not to expencive, i got a 4in tail pipe and removed the last resonator everything else is stock... sounds pretty good .. .

about your question the resonator is a type of mufler so yes it does reduce the sound

that's what i was about to say. i have the magnaflo on my car and everyone that hears it asks me what kinda exhaust it is 'cuz they like it so much. if you're not a speed freak try taking off your header and putting the stocky one back on and keep the magna.

Iceboy...
A race header cuts out the need of a ORP or a CAT. It goes strait from the block down to the flex pipe.

And the reason I say it sounds ricy is b/c there are a few hondas around here with just a muffler that sound the same as me, so its either I have the rice sound or they have the magnaflow sound, and the biggest reason for me being dissapointed is b/c it is TOO LOUD. I know I should have known that would happen but I did not think about it.

So thanks for the help and I do see a highflow cat going to be installed in the near future.
