Udp

I orderd a 50% race pulley from escortfocus.com this weekend and it'll be here by wed, I was wondering if I would have any charging problems with this taking so much power away from the alt. It supposedly gives a 10 to 12 hp gain and with my car being a daily driver I want to be sure before I bolt it up. However I think I might be ok becuase i drive a manual. So any input will be helpful

10-12 might be a stretch.

You shouldn't see any problems with your alternator. Things might be a lil' bit dimmer at night is all.

Yeah, I have had the other BDR crank UDP and haven't had one problem. I also run the AEM alt. UDP, so I'd say you're in the clear.

You can get all the info about the chip from Focus sport but it works pretty well in my car. Its not much of a power adder it just makes the car perform better. The chip got rid of my top spd limit raised my rev limiter to 7200 I also got an additional tune to turn the egr off, disable the rear o2 sensor, and early fan activation. You also have use premium gas once installed due to the advacing of the ignition timing but, overall I'm pretty satisfied with it. Once I put on the pully I'll be sure to post the results off the butt dyno.

I've had the 50% udp for about a year with no charging issues. Lights do get dim at idle below 1000 rpm. As for the heater, I've made it through a winter with no issue there (granted in MO it doesn't get that cold). Also made it through summer which can get in the 100's. A/C doesn't get as cold as fast, but still works enough to keep the car comfortable after sitting all day in the sun at 100. No extra ICE power draw in my car and my commute is 25-30 min of mostly 50-70+ mph. I love mine. I just got my SCT chip last week and am getting used to that as the car sure runs different. Definitely a different engine above 3500 rpm than before. Pulls harder and faster. Nothing definite yet, but in a bunch of stoplight starts on my normal commute I have more speed after a given interval than before. Most of the commute is a flat 55mph zone with intermittent stoplights, so I often end up in front, allowing me some 0-60+ runs. Not scientific, but after you've run it for a year, you know how fast you can get from point A to B. Getting there faster now with the chip. Wondering how the battery will last with the udp and the alternator bypass at wot, since that's usually where I'm at.

HI got a question I installed the udp on my car and now it squeaks really bad when I turn on the heat or if I turn sharp and slow, I dont know if it's the tensioner or the belt that I have is too small which making the tensioner pull belt to tight making that awful noise. What type of belt do you have I have a 650 k6 on mine. The sheet that came with this thing has two listings a 2.0 w/air 650k6 and a 2.0L w/air 495k6 but I wouldnt know the difference between the 2 that would make them so different. I desperatly need some help. I've already tried belt dressing and it still does it
