I have been fighting with performance parts companies for 5 years over SPI parts. If it weren't for a few guys like myself there wouldn't be anything at all for us. OK, enough of that. The painful truth is that the SPI engine makes up so little of the Focus segment that the aftermarket guys look right past us. The SPI is mainly reserved for the rental crowd, and the last thing they want is a performance car in their fleet. Couple that with an automatic and the performance crowd rolls its eyes and walks by as the SPI automatic makes up less than 1% of the market. Guess what I drive.....DURRRRRR.

Add to it the fact that the SPI has been pretty much phased out.

I do know a guy who grafted a GM roots style supercharger from a 3.8 engine onto his SPI with good results. Lotsa work, and I think he eventually blew it up.

I really do hate being the bearer of bad news, really.

spi super charger

Water boy do you think it's possible to some how get a vortech style supercharger to work with the spi, because just by looking at it and it's configuration I think it's possible the only thing then would be finding a program that will make it work. "just an Idea" what do you think.

I've been looking at the Paxton or Vortech, and you know if you could work out the clearance issue, it IS feasable. You could take out the A/C and mount it there. All that would be from there is tuning. Say 39# injectors, a big ass MAF, SCT with Raptor, maybe some sort of intercooling( just for kicks), and run like the wind. Why not?

Damn you "X"!, now you've got me thinking!
