Hi guys a just recieved my sct chip and I got it installed but my rev limiter was supposed to be raised to 7200 and I'm still cuttin out at 6. Do you think I need to take it back out and re-clean the connections?

you might need to reclean it, but stock rev limit is 6500 so I dunno why it's cutting out at 6k.

Yeah I really don't know why it's not working. The car runs fine just no doing what I think it should do. By the way are you satisfied with yours?

I love mine. 99% of problems are with incorrect installation. Go reclean, run, and report.

Actually I did it last night and it works, I love the way the motor comes alive after 6 grand and it makes good mid range power as well. Once I match this up with the new stage 2 spec clutch hopefully I can make some use of the extra rpms.

since we are on the subject of rev limiter where exactly is the redline I am asking b/c when I hit the gas and it down shifts into first from second I am a little worried about how long it takes to shift my tach just kindof taps the needle. I never let it stay too long before I let off the gas and it shifts REALY short. I am realy affraid of damaging my engine this way.

Mine hits 7200 before the rev limiter kicks in. Keep in mind I have the internals to hold it, and the fuel to back it up. I had a hanging rev problem with Diablo chips that could never be resolved. I eventually got used to it and would dip the throttle at just the right time so it would shift where I wanted it to.

Ok thanks, I guess I just better get the feel for the chip. Besides that everything works fine.

The first time I went WOT at night and my light dimmed it threw me. Then I realized it was just the alternator disengaging as I requested to have the chip do
