Spi or V8

Ok here goes,

I cracked
the block in my focus about 2 weeks ago (dont ask how Im just as baffled as you are) and Iv got a friend that totaled his focus (rolled it 5 times)so he said I can have i his engine, or I can take the northstar V8 I got for my feiro I mean I know it would be cool wait no AWSOME but this will be my first engine swap and I have a mustang I can drive till its done and I know I can do it Im just wondering about the computer and that stuff so If I could get help and opinions I would very much appriciate it,

thanx evogt15

the v8 sounds cool but would be massive amounts of work. if you wanted v8 i would go with the 351 ford, its been done before so you know its possible

the computer you have wont work if you thinking of using it. You could do the swap but its a lot of work for someone thats never done an engine swap. Hell, its a lot of work for anyone.

Too much work if you ask me. Even after you get the motor mount thing and the computer worked out then your going to have to figure out how to beef up the front suspension and convert the rear to RWD. Way to much time and money.

If you think you can do it, go for it. I would love to put my focus under the project catagory but it is my every day driver and I cant do anything that will put my car out of commision for longer than one day.
