I was told from a very reliable source that a 50 shot will not require any beefing of the engine or tranny, those are my plans but I realy just want a purge system.

I THINK THEY LOOK COOL!!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure for a nitrous shot to be safe, you want to go with something that is 33% of your flywheel hp. I don't know how much the SPI is rated for, but me thinks you'ld be better of with a 30-35 shot than a 50.

Well, I don't know jack about cars..But I have noticed that the SPI has a weak WEAK clutch..If I was you, I would spend the money on a stage 2 clutch first..You would probably be more happy that way.. :) Just my 2 cents..I got my clutch "replaced" from Ford..But that was a joke.

What happend is the return spring on the clutch pedal snapped, so they just replaced that instead of the whole clutch, they said they would replace my whole clutch pack, but they never did. So I'm waiting for some money to pop up to buy me a Stage2 Clutch.

where did you hear this from? whether it's a wet shot or a dry shot shouldn't matter for the transmission. wet kits are better because it supplies it's own fuel and there isn't a big of chance of the car running too lean.

btw i have an ATX and i'm using a 50 shot on my zetec. not sure if the spi and zetec use the same tranny but i would assume they do. i haven't had any problems with my tranny and i've had the no2 on my car for 5 or 6 months now.

I heard it from a friend who works at a machanic(spelling) shop I know he knows alot about all years of fords but, if you are running a wet shot and have no problems then both he and myself stand corrected.
