Spec makes clutch kits for the SPI. I ordered mine through McNews automotive, http://www.mcnewsautomotive.com/Merc...ory_Code=DRIVE . I got the stage three, although I would think that the stage 2 would have been fine and would be fine in your case.

Whats your HP on that focus you have focus_guy? and hows the stage 3?

what would you suggest for a not so modded SPI? All I have so far is exhaust and intake...that's about it...just wondering, ;)

how do you guys blow your clutches so fast... either you cant drive (like most americans, or you spend your time doing burn outs).

I got 81K and i havnet had a clutch problem since i have owned this car.. though i must admit the previous owner went thru 3 clutch jobs in 10K.. not sure what all of them were off hand, but one was a tranny leak and one was due to not engaging.

In anycase my SPI's only gear box problem is letting an idiot drive my car, now the spring on the shifter on 1/2 to 3/4 is gone, it doesnt spring, 3/4 to 5 is fine, it springs back..

My clutch is just going , i think from draggin and exscive speed shifting , but i mean i got 107 km on the wagon. i might just need a check up but i nice new clutch (like a stage 2) would be better since i am draggin it and trying to gain more speed and power

I've got the same problem, is there anyway to fix it? I bought mine used that way.

lol, I was talking to the guy at the ford dealer and he said that the spi clutch is sorry to say, shit, he said it's a piece of crap..my friends mom has a focus just like mine(different color tho) and she has gone thru 4 clutches in she said 25k miles...I am supposedly on my second clutch, i took it to ford so they could put the return spring on the clutch pedal inside the car and they said they would take my tranny out and replace the whole clutch system, of course, they didn't, so i still have my same clutch with about 25k miles so far..I do some speed shifting, but it's like speed shifting/granny shifting, get what I mean? and I don't really do burnouts as much as I used to with this car because I need to save my tires, parents won't buy anymore of them for me.. heh, well, just my two cents :P
