Does the spi redline at 5000rpms? Or 6000rpms? Can someone help me?

Oh ok. So if I had to really get up and go I can shift at 6k cause ive been shifting at 4500 rpms. Cause my cluster dosent have a rpm gage ive been using the digital.

Ford sold manuals without tachometers...?

If that's true... wow. Just wow...

SergFocus 10-18-2012 12:31 PM

Yup! Lol it sucks. Lol im looking for a cluster with rpms.

calebstubstad 10-21-2012 12:11 AM

yeah mines a 5 speed with no tach, just speedo gas and engine temp. looking into buying either a cluster with tach, or buying a separate one

Red Jay 918 10-21-2012 12:19 AM

my cousins 2005 ZX3 had no tach.

Focusblackzx5 10-22-2012 08:23 AM

My 05 zx5 SES auto has the tach... :s but a manual without it, that sucks, you shift with the engine sound :S

jlawlax1344 10-24-2012 12:56 PM

yeah i have a 2003 se 5spd without a tach, so i just bought a cluster w/tach off ebay. Lol. Just letting you know if you push your engine above 6k and shift, you tend to loose a lot of power cause your car lifts off the ground, so i find it best to shift at or around 5500, its the best of both worlds.

Are the gauge clusters for the same years plug and play?
