Intermittent Battery Light

I have been having the common battery light issue.....battery light illuminates at odd times with no other issues.

Recently I changed out the IAC valve (was having the stalling issue as well), and went over the battery cables....looked good, but I cleaned them up anyway.

I haven't been able to find any bad grounds, but I may add another from the battery to the body to make sure.

I have seen the battery light issue brought up numerous times, but I haven't seen a fix to the issue.

The dash volt meter is showing 14.9 to 15 volts (too high) while the light is on,and then back to "normal" when off.....nothing seems to trigger the issue. I am hesitating to buy an alternator for it, as I have read numerous times that people had swapped the expensive alternator with no resolution.

Car details - 2003 SPI with 191K miles.

Any help would be appreciated.
