upgraded fuel pump
I just got done installing the upgraded pump (the one with the support rods)
I did have to cut the plastic tabs to get the ring off of the bottom of the tank.
The car seems to run fine and even has more power than it ever did, while I have owned it but im getting a kinda thump whenever the key is turned to run
and it is definetly fuel pump related. Could it be that I didnt cut those tabs flush enough and the module is sitting a little crooked ?
I bought the pump/pot assy from a local salvage yard and also purchased a new strainer for it. Is there anything else related to the conversion to the upgraded setup other than cutting thetabs and removing that ring ? I thought I read somewhere that I would have to change the inlet tube when doing this conversion but im not sure what they meant.
