Egr Mod!!!!

Hey people....my friend did something I think is harmless, but it makes your car a little faster, better than that gay actuator mod...he took the vacuum line off of the EGR so it won't suck exhaust into the intake anymore...he said it got faster, I did the same on my SPI, I also put a thin peice of aluminum inbetween the header and the egr tube to make sure it wouldn't suck exhaust through...I'll get some pics of it someday and show you how...it's simple..

That will change the mixture.
It will also eventually damage the catalytic converter.

Better take it easy, son. This guy who tried and offered the "gay" actuator mod had forgotten more about the SPI than you will ever know. I suggest you try another means of description. And BTW: That "new" mod you "discovered" is old hat. Been there, done that. It's one of those things I have forgotten because it doesn't work all that well.

Lightbulb EGR MODE and more

Save $299.00 and buy SCT CHIP it will do that and much more. I know money is what we're not wanting to spend but call it food for thought and car.

yes but

You can actually do some different things to fake out the EGR system. Removing only the vaccum line runs the risk of causing damge to the cat by causing too rich of a mixture. Plus won't pass visual inspection.

I have this written down at home, but you can add a resistor to the EGR temp sensor wires to tell the ECU that the car is warm all the time. When the car is warm, there are very few times that the EGR valve should be opened (at least in my experience). And, this will keep the ECU using the correct mixture.
