I run a 17.4 @ 80mph , there gotta be a way over this winter to get some bolt on to add so very much needed horses to my SPI. any suggestions to add some big HP to the car so next year i wont be laugh at the track would be greatly appecaited.

well if you really want to beat that GSR, you'll need more then the SPI can give out. Maybe a Zetec swap then start building that up. But other then that, bolt-ons plus a 50 shot should give you a huge improvent.

urn wont be on till weds, but the ubove posts are on the right track. go over to the jet, and flip through there spi forum. there is a guy that has his spi up to 158whp. follow his build up. just do a search on here also. it has been talked about aprox 2 weeks ago. follow his mods, and then the 50shot, and you will be maxed out. that is the best you can do with out droping the svt engine in, or a reg zetec, and building up. good luck and hope your checking account can take a hit!
late

also from what is sounds like in your times your running the wagon with auto-tragic eh? Honestly you can do all you want to the engine but you wont get the time that a good driver running a manual will.

as far as mods go
Port and Polish
Escort/Focus Valve train (www.escortfocus.com)
Escort/Focus Cam
Black Diamond Racing Cam Gear (www.blackdiamondracing.com)
Black Diamond Racing Under Drive Pully
Black Diamond Racing Throttle Body
86 - 91 Escort GT Race Header (can be found at your local Bone yard)
2.5" flex pipe
2.5" cat back exaust
SCT Chip (www.focussport.com)

For Handleing:
new dampers/spring (spax makes a decent kit for the wagon can be found at www.batinc.net)
Rear strut brace to match your front one
Rear sway bar

The only other real thing you can do is bulid up a custom Turbo setup, get a Escort EXP ihi Turbo manifold, then bolt up a rebuilt square flanged ihi turbo from a miata/probe, get the rest of the gear needed, tuned with the SCT chip and you'd have yourself one bad mother of a grocery getter!
