instrument cluster bezel blunder

I made a boo boo when trying to install a stainless steel bezel in my instrument cluster
I have cracked the clear plastic cover plate. Not a huge crack but still noticeable. Ford wants $100 for the piece.

I was wondering if anyone out there has replaced thier gauges and has a spare gauge cover laying around, or if anyone had a line of where i can get one for chepper than $100(CAD)

Ebay is always an option but it seems everybody is intrested in selling the cover with the gauges. There is a whole assembly for less than $100, I may do that and turn around and sell the gauges, but i'd rather not do that if i can get only the cover.

Thanx

Scott

Go to a local junk yard and see if they have any.

i saw a thread on here where someone did his own fibreglassing for the bezel. maybe you could fix it yourself. But for the life of me, i can't find the thread. Anyone know what the heck i'm talking about?

Molded Centre Dash

i found it!!
there's also a couple links on this thread that leads to a DIY type situation. My mind is going crazy with ideas for my cluster.

I could be wrong here, but I thought when you crack the plastic cover you HAVE to get an entire new cover since the plastic peice isnt simply bolted onto the black part...it's like heat welded or melted on there or something. I ran into a similar problem when I got my ZX3 cluster, and i brought it to a mechanic buddy and he said it wasnt as simple as changing the clear cover due to its constuction...I dont know just my two cents.
