Flexpipe and Short Header

I notice the flexpipes out there say for Zetec only...but they should fit the SPI correct? I'm getting an MBRP exhaust and would like to change out the Flexpipe and the Cat to more of a highflow. As far as I know, the flepipe and high-flow cat found for the Zetec should fit the SPI with a short header and cat back exhaust. Any thoughts or clarification you can give me?

No and no. We have to get a "custom" made flex pipe. And theres no high flow cats for our spi's. Your only options really. Shorty headers orp and custom flex pipe. Or, race headers and custom flex pipe. Someone on here has the shorty and orp combo. Not sure if he ever got a custom made flex pipe though.

Oh ok, I'm not familier with focus designs as much as older muscle vehicles so i needed clarification. I am only installing 3 basic bolt-ons and tinting for now...I have a few other things I want to do over time but they wouldn't come about for at least 2-4 years, and by that time I will be at the end of college/gettin out and will prolly be saving my money for a RSX Type-S (no offense to focus lovers b/c I am one myself, I just have a thing for the integra and now the 4th generation one, the Type-S) cause I will be set with my MBA and double majors/minors. Anyways, enough ranting, thanx for lettin me know. Gotta love how every company likes to throw out 10 different modles of one car...its becoming one of my pet peevs.

OH, and my true Pet Peev are those peeps who take a cheap model of a car and do everything in the world to make it look exactly like the stock high-performance model of the same car. Mouth full lol.

you can modify a zetec flexpipe to work on an spi....

from FJ:
Quote:
To use a zetec pipe you would have to take out a section of tubing near the flange that connects to the catpipe and re-weld the flange on. The only difference between the zetec pipe and the spi pipe that I know off is that the zetec pipe has an extra bend where the flange is and we don't so they are pretty similar.
as for the high-flow cat. there isnt one. Get an off road pipe, or keep your stock cat.
