Quick ?

I was wondering if anyone has put on the Focus Sport Stealth exhaust with a racing header on their car. Does the stealth option really makes the exhaust quiter?

I have not heard the stealth exhaust myself, but the general idea is for it to be quieter then the typical catback exhaust. I do not know how it would compare to stock, but it should be quieter then the other catbacks.

of course, if you put a racing header on it, then it will be louder then without it.

Is a flex pipe needed to conect the header to the exhaust?

I have heard the focus sport stealth and focus sport race header combo on a 2.0 zetech and it's truly impressive.

I plan on getting the stealth system with a different header but it should be about the same.

As for a flex.... with the focus sport header/exhaust no ones not needed. with a different header I think you do.

Does Focus Sport have a race header for the SPI? If not, what can I do as for a flex pipe b/c people on here says that you would have to have one custom made b/c no one makes one for the SPI motor.

your stock flexpipe will connect the two pieces. but the stocker will restrict airflow a bit.

FS does not sell any headers for the SPI. FC currently sells a couple headers. they sell a 4-1 shorty header that is supposed to be pretty good. They also sell a 4-2-1 race header, but it is designed for the wrong ignition sequence, so its not that great.

as for a flex pipe, you can either use your stocker or have one custom made. a zetec flexpipe will work with some modification:

To use a zetec pipe you would have to take out a section of tubing near the flange that connects to the catpipe and re-weld the flange on. The only difference between the zetec pipe and the spi pipe that I know off is that the zetec pipe has an extra bend where the flange is and we don't so they are pretty similar.
Hope that helps.
