Hey Waterboy... Iridium spark plugs?

Waterboy - I just purchased a set of Denso Iridium plugs. When I pulled out the stock plug they did not look exactly alike. The new Iridium had a longer thread section than the stock plugs. They were also a just a tab bit longer than the stock... but just barely. Were your iridiums the same way?

Also, are the gap requirement the same between the stock and the iridiums? Are they the same?

At this point I trust that you are one of the more active and knowledgeable members of this forum. Any "waterboy" insights would be appreciated!

Thanks and have a great day!

John,

Thanks for the props. My plugs were the same length and thread count. I wonder if the guy at the parts store couldn't find a listing for the Focus and crossed some other Ford 4 banger. My part # is TR55-1IX-7316 for the NGK's. Since I have an Accell coil, I gapped mine larger. If you have a stock coil keep them gapped to spec.
