4,000 plus shipping, plus install, plus tuning. that there is a lot of money. you should be able to turbo for a lot less then that.

you can get a stock header off of an escort EXP or RS to do the same thing. if you can find it, it should save you quite a bit of money.

but thanks for sharing your finds.

you are definatly correct. i am sure if someone had the money lieing around, it would definatly be worth it.

but i think if someone had that kind of money lieing around, they wouldnt be driving an SPI. lol!

it is a lot of $$, but if you would piece togather your own turbo kit how much would it cost. sure it may be cheaper this way, but you might get screwed over by parts that don't exactly fit togather.. hey, thats the first turbo kit for the spi that i'v seen anyone find.

Number A, this should be in the forced induction forum.
Number also, it's a personal preference thing. Myself, I would opt for a kit to be sure of proper design, fit, etc. I know others who are in the process of building their own turbo setup. The major problem with turbocharging the SPI, as far as professional grade kits goes, is that the SPI is out of production, so it is really up in the air as to whether cheaper kits become available, if any more appear at all. I own an SPI, and I have driven a Zetec. I prefer the Zetec so I will be building one and swapping it eventually. Then maybe give Turbonetix a call.
Bottom line: To Each Their Own.

RE: Number A

The knowledgable ppl who frequant the forced induction forum generally do not know about, or care about the SPI.
