spi head

Hey guy's, Does anyone know if the spi head from a 2001 will fit on a 2000. This guy is tring to sell me a brand new focus spi 2001 head for a port and polish. I don't know if that a good idea or just use the one i have in the car.

You have to research that. Different places have different prices, and it could be variant based on certain factors, like how much you want bored, how many peices and their condition...

For a good p&p you are looking at 2-400bux if you take them the head. PLEASE take it to an import shop. Import shops are familiar with 4cylinder heads and their related parts. IMHO...I would not take it to a V8 shop unless you have seen that they have done other peoples cars also.

You may also want to look into having the head milled. It will raise the compression a little bit giving you more power.

Well i want to add an escout/focus racing cam with the new lifters and valves, performance forged pistons and rods once their done, and the port and polished head and intake. Does anyone know how much the bores need to be?
