Heads up for the SPI crowd

Copy and paste from my FJ post, mainly cause I am lazy

Let me say first off that the only reason I'm doing this is because I'd expect anyone else to do the same for me.

The Steeda Focus sparkplug wires ONLY fit the ZETEC motors, and do NOT fit the SPI. I just received my nice new red wires yesterday from Steeda.ca, and promptly found out at lunch that they don't fit in the sparkplug holes in the cylinder head. Also, they appear to be a tad too short anyways.

The guys at Steeda.ca are stellar though, I'm shipping the wires back to them on their FedEx account this morning, and trying to decide what to apply my credit against. They would have refunded my cash anyways, but I like Steeda stuff, so I'm trying to decide what else to get for my sedan.

Thought everyone might want to know this. Apparently all Canadian Steeda literature says that the wires fit ALL Foci, but they don't. I guess that will be changed in short order. Pity, though - they're quite nice wires.

I've seen the 8mm SuperStock and 8.8mm 300ohm ACCEL wires at Canadian Tire, not sure what you guys have besides Pep Boys. The 8mm wires are red, but the 8.8s are yellow... and I wanted red :(

I might try the SuperStock wires and see how they fit/run.

For my Accel coil I bought a set of Accel wires for the 2.3 dual plug Ranger. They work really well and for about $25 you get TWO sets.

Lightbulb Engine Dress-up

I was thinking about doing alittle engine dress-up with some colored spark wires, red ones too! But know I need to find some that actually fit. I was thinking about going with the Ford Motor Sport wires, but they are "Zetec engines only". Gotta keep lookin'...

Hey waterboy, do you have a part number for those wires? How big are they (8mm, 8.8mm)?

I'll do a part number search at my local Canadian Tire store if you pass me a part number.

Thanks!
