2.0SPI vs 1.9L

ok need al il help on this i havent quite got all the info i need yet , i have a 95 2.0 Spi atx and a 93 1.9 MTX are the transmissions interchangeable? i was wanting to use the 1.9 mtx on the Spi no one has really given me a straigh answer to this yet. im goin to assume no but a little insight would be great

ive been racing my 93 escort ( see avatar) for 2 years now and the 1.9 hasnt given me any problems yet but im facing a variaty of cars with built to max track spec engines and its hard to keep up on the straights and very hard in the corners.
ive heard the spi head blots up to the 1.9's block does this work at all? or a waste of time compared to a swap

SPI head on 1.9 block = 8:1 compression, bad idea if your staying N/A, really bad idea.

Yes you can bolt up the 2.0 SPI trans to the 1.9 5 speed tranny, that pretty much what every body does.

For more info go to FEOA.net

And with stock 1-7/8" Exhaust.
Currently full 3" and e85.
