take a better look to the coupe...

rear disk breaks...
what looks like new design 17" rims...
the "bump" on the front par of the hood...
seems like the new ST...OR better...turbo?

Hmmm, I was thinking of getting an '07 ST (Canadian model which comes with the GFX styling), but now am wondering if I should wait.

Maybe I might lease the '07 for 2-3 years then change it for a newer model.
Leasing might be best for me since I've had 3 different vehicles in the past 6 years! LoL

lets pray for turbo. that would sell like mad and renew interest in the Focus for america

it'll be a damn shame to lose the hatchback though, such an intergal part of the focus lineup, i think removing it from the line up will take it off the list of many, and most of those will go look at the mazda 3

the coupe is looking good, hopefully the front and rear treatments will be good. the side profile of the greenhouse looks reminiscent of the last escort coupes (think RS Cosworth). now all we have to hope for is a decent engine/sporty model! the current ST 2.3 is a little lacking in HP considering the displacement (and why does the Mazda get 9 more HP out of the same engine?)

Please do not post up any more pics from this website. I was contacted by a member of their staff regarding copyright issues and have since removed the photos that I posted up. Feel free to refer to whichever picture on their site (linking if you want) but no IMG tags anymore from over there.

Thanks.

oooo Chad got in troubleeee...go sit in the time-out chair buddy..lol jk

all kidding aside... from what i can see the coupe looks nice..but the front seems to have undergone significant changes, particularly in the grill area. lets hope they are for the better!

also, does this spying intend to suggest that the hatch WILL be eliminated? that there will only be a sedan and coupe for 08? i love the sedan, and coupe looks ok...but i agree with the above, if the hatch is eliminated i think that would be a bad move on their part. I dont think the new coupe will formulate as much interest/sales as the hatch did..not in its debut year anyway.

Yeah I doubt the hatch is going to be removed from production, in all honestly, it's their biggest seller when it comes to the focus as you see them EVERYWHERE, the sedans, and wagons are obviously not around as much.........

But here goes Ford in North America, don't be shocked if they do that, nothing shocks me anymore.

well..
this is not true... (at least from my point of view)
YOU see the HB more because you pay more attention to them...
BUT their biggest seller is the sedan...
if this wasnt true they would have make the ST as a HB and not as a sedan...

not 3door, 5door or Wagon for 08 and 09 - they will likely return in 2010 all new Focus.

Ford saved a lot of $$$ by keeping only 2 body styles for the redesign, and their market research told them there would be more demand for a nice 2door coupe than a 3door hatch, so they wen that way. the 5door and wagon made onyl 16% of Focus sales combined - so thye got canned for now.

the line will likely re-expand in the new model - but this is a 2 model year quick fix ( an expensive one at that) - so they wanted to eliminate some of the expenses.
