Warm start CEL

Hey guys, I just picked up an 04 SVT on Saturday and already have gotten a check engine light 3 times, and it seems to be during warm starts. I tried to check for a code in the odometer diagnostics but everytime I check it it comes up" dtc..none" so it aparently isn't storing a code, at least thats what it appears. It seems to do it only on warm starts(I have cold started it multiple times after disconnecting the battery and had no light). It doesn't seem to have any running issues...does anyone have any ideas??

Could be a ton of things, best bet it to get a code reader/diagnostics on it and see what it is actually throwing up.......

PM your vin and i will pull you a list of what usually appears with your check engine light, but best way is to go and retrieve that code. Good luck.

I already looked at that thread and another with CEL codes, but the odometer diagnostics is not showing any code, just a check engine light...

"a code in the odometer diagnostics"

Those codes are worthless. If you get a real code reader and plug it into the OBD-II port, you will likely get the real codes.

That odometer function is there for one purpose, quality control testing during the manufacturing process. No mechanics use those codes as they frequently they give false readings, meaning that since you cannot trust them, you must eventually use a real code reader in any case.

Ok guys, the CEL came back again today and I brought it to Autozone and they pulled a code 1518(IMRC stuck open), however I can still hear and feel the secondaries open at about 5000 rpm, even with the CEL on...I also checked the infamous DSI clip and it is not broken either...does anyone have any suggestions of what to do next??
