I replaced one at about 4,000 miles because I ran over something in the road that killed the downstream unit. I changed the second one at about 56,000 miles since I was getting intermittent error codes.

So, I claimed 2 but 1 is probably more accurate for purposes of failure in use...

I've gone through at least 4. I had to replace both when I bought the car because the previous owner used non-motorcraft ones and they were throwing codes. Smashed a rear one and replaced it then I started rallycrossing the car and smashed front and rear cause I didn't have a skid plate. Skid plate is on now and I got a HFC so the O2 sensors don't stick straight up anymore. No more problems!

Replaced both. The rear one at around 65000 mi. The front one around 105000 mi. Used bosch both times. At over 165000 mi. now and going strong. I made a tool for the rear one out of a wrench and a grinder and bought the o2 socket for the front one.

This thread has been alive for 8 years. Also, never replaced one in the 170k miles. Also learning about a lot of things the previous owner had never replaced.

Does anyone know the motorcraft part number for both o2 sensors on the SVT? The motorcraft website just lists 9G444 without the specifics...

I've had good luck with Denso o2 sensors. Is the general consensus to stick with the OEM motorcraft?

Thanks in advance.

I replaced my first sensor at 114058 miles. That sensor has gone bad at just 137895 miles. the last time it cost me $346 and would be the same this time at the dealer. I'm going to buy a new Motorcraft sensor and have an independent shop install it. This is the front sensor which is the tough one to replace. Right now the car is running just fine so I'm in no rush.
