Supercharger Impressions

For those who have one, what are your impressions of the Jackson Racing/FRPP superchargers? Are you running standard ZX3 or SVT and what's it like to drive? 1/4 mile times?

I do not have one but I can tell you what I do know about the JRSC it is a low power supercharger (about 5psi) when you put it on there is a difference but only a minimal difference it is supposed to change 0-60 times by half a second and I think quarter times go down by a full second (on the SVT) JRSCs are good for daily drivers seeing as they are the most reliable form of forced induction you can get (Mercedez uses the same kind of S/Cs on there cars) If you are going for serious power I would lean you in the direction of the Vortech www.vortechsuperchargers.com or a turbo from turbo tom www.focus-power.com if you are going for a smaller increase to make your daily driver have a little more spunk and still be super reliable I would get the JRSC (personally im not a fan of the JRSC for what they want I would save up then go all out and buy a Vortech or a Turbo. Also if you are looking at Turbocharging your focus (non svt only) tom is coming out with a new less expensive kit for around 3k you can ask him for more information

I'd go with a Vortech or a Tom's kit, or you could wait for the Cosworth I/C SC that'll be out soon. The Cosworth is what I'm saving up for

I have a JSRC on my car with the 2.3" pulley and some other minor mods no engine or tranny work done, The car is fun to drive but I still want more power, I have not had it to the track yet, I did have it dynoed 179whp and 160wtq, but if I was going to do it all over again I would go with a vortec or turbo.

Thanks for the insight. I'm a hug fan of postive displacement blowers. I haven't seen much about the Vortech. Has anyone published an install and tune article? Looks promising.
