Carrera26, thanks for the tips. I do see what you mean about unconciously taking the better lines and looking ahead on the street. I just sat here and thought about it for a few minutes and I do seem to do that while driving, it's just more of a natural act and I don't realize it, especially on on ramps

At autocrosses I do try to look through the turns to the next on, while I'm driving and while I walk the course, especially while I walk the course. I'll usually be plotting what I will be doing on the next turn at the turn before it as I'm walking the course. It'll just take some time untill I get better at doing it while driving the course. I know I always look through the slaloms and sweepers, but when it comes to the really tight turns, say like a 270 or something to that nature, I look at the turn, not through it. It's always those tight turns for me

I've actually be thinking about going to a couple performance driving schools to get better. I've heard the Evolution schools are good, but their website is only showing a few left for this year. Plus the locations aren't exactly close to me. Hopefully with the turn of the new year next year there will be a few that would be closer to Ohio.

^^I couldn't speak more highly of my experience with the Evo schools. Definitely worth it!

The big key with the tight turns is to look back to the next gate after it and see what angle you will need comin out of the turn. If you can see the neccesary exit angle, the line through the turn will become self-apparent. It's not at all uncommon for me to be looking over my shoulder on my way into a sharp turn, and sometimes through it as well.

grrrrrr at my off course Although the video of the off course was pretty entertaining And f that damn kid in grid telling me I had to forfeit a run, when the pres. of the club told me I didn't have to, only after our run group was over. Oh well, I had fun, I definately had an off day, just glad I got my car running again.

Can you tell my first run was the one with the shots on the first page. [slow is fast, slow is fast slow...] If only I would have taken that turn a little better I would have been wayyyy faster. There was over a 3 second decrease in time because I took that turn after the slalom slower from my first to second run. Imaginge if I wouldn't have went in so hot on the folloing two. Ahhhh memories

Brake check..Screeeeeeech!!!!! lol
