well from your name i would guess your on the malibus side. beating a car that is spinning wheels through gears is very easy to do. i can beat a mustang GT that is spinning wheels easy. now if he got traction thats a different story.

Yup, I got a buddy that would talh crap all day long how he thought his automatic Pontiac Grand Am GT with "Ram Air" was sporting 190 hp and would smoke the dog crap outta my focus. I pulled his punk card and took him to the track along with all our friends. The first race he ran a 16.7, I ran 16.2. He claimed he got a bad start. Second race he ran 16.7, I ran 16.0. After that he blamed the track and wouldn't race any more.

im sorry to hear that guy is such a lamer :/ racing among friends should be for fun and not be a big deal. now i dont mean to sound like a jackass but when you are both racing slow (not built for drag racing anyway ;0) cars you shouldnt worry about who wins a drag race or who's car is faster in a straight line. its really alot like racing a metros and then talking shit after the race... seems kinda silly. my advice to you is to just ignore him, he's probably making himself look like a retard by pretending his car is good anyway, so you gain nothing by beating a dead horse!

Dude he said that the lane he was in had been used more and had less traction. lol Poor bastard... I felt sorry for him afterwards. Its pretty funny though, He'll talked all the smack in the world and all I have to do is remind him and he'll shut up. He gets so defensive about his car. Any body says anything about his Grand Am and he flips out. I think he's got little man syndrome or big engine envy.
