Focus Autocross techiniques
I am getting ready for my first auto-x in my focus here in a few days. I have auto crossed before but was wondering if there were any tips/hints/tricks that any veteran autocrossers could relay that are focus specific. everything from tire pressures to turn in to throttle application, anything helps. Just another broke racer trying to turn faster lap times. thanks

Walk the course. Over and over.
Eyes up. Look ahead, and not down. Smooth throttle and brake application. Walk the course.

45lbs up front, a little less in the back
If you are on stock tires and suspension you are going to sound like one continuous car accident in every corner. Meaning you are going to push through them. Don't become overly exuberant yoru first time out and you will be fine.

I am gettin ready for my first auto-x this weekend too. I have an SVT though, just wondering if I should leave the traction control on, if I take the T/C off, the ABS will be gone too...

Thanks for the replies, and I ahve read the thread, I was looking for more specific attributes of the focus that I need to be aware of or take advantage of this weekend.

Walk the course, and try to walk the course with a more experianced driver preferably someone who also drives a front wheel drive car.
And don't worry about it too much, just go and have fun.
