Not unless you spray the paint with the parts on the car, and get the paint into the intake and it locks up the engine. Other than that you'd lose the warranty coverage on the affected trim panel, but more than likely they wouldn't need to be covered in the first place.

It was meant to be sarcastic, although apart from a few isolated reports of the plastic trim between the edge of the roof and the door frame coming off at speed when the clips let go I haven't actually heard of issues with trim coming off of the MK3 models yet.

Basically avoid damaging anything else and it really shouldn't affect the car in any way shape or form.
