i'm at 10 mpg right now and 6 mpg in 4wd. reason is my mods and my axle gearing lol as well as i need a new fuel pump. normally rangers depending on engine but my 4.0 used to get 20 to 22 mpg and if you want to do offroading a fullsize truck isnt your answer to big and heavy

almost none of the subaru builds I've seen online are on coilovers but I guess it depends whose actually posting online and whose out mudding.

these things are seriously more capable than most give them credit for. Short of a ranger on a custom long travel setup you really don't have any more flex than the subarus. although you definitely have the size advantage for hitting the rough stuff.

I dont really do enough off roading to make the 20mpg difference worthwhile to me, granted I dont go to the most extreme boulder ridden trails ever but I've navigated our Hummer H1 test course with my subaru without getting stuck and that was on stock sized tires with Aku

I can't wait to get the rest of my longer travel lift on the car so I can hit bigger trails and some more rough stuff

Sounds like crazy amounts of fun. But my cash flow situation is pointing more towards staying in tonight and racing go-karts on Gran Turismo 5.
