If you like it so much, go buy it yourself.

I do. Auto's aren't fun to me. I will only own an auto if it's a truck or suv (which I'm sure I'll want eventually as tow vehicle)

I actually don't mind driving autocars to work and back. But once my week is over and I have to drive mine, its all the funs!

So I think my next DD will be an automatic, and have manual for play thing

I may feel that way at some point.. Especially if my drive involves regular traffic jams / stop and go traffic but currently it doesn't

It's a nice change of pace driving the Escape I'll agree but after a week I miss my third pedal. Plus I have a bad habit of slamming the brake with my left foot in auto's

If I could afford to have or keep a second car around I might want another manual for the hell of it, but at the moment based on what was available when I got my current car the twin clutch automated manual was something I wanted to experience. The MTX-75 felt a lot like the gearbox in my prizm, except for the shift throws. The 5th gear ratio was pretty much identical though except for the smaller tires = a shorter gear.

I still tend to shift it manually quite often though, so I could go either way.

However had they put a 6F35 (torque converter based auto) I would not have bought the automatic. I'm no fan of any of the FWD transmissions coming from Livonia assembly, I can tolerate them when they work, but in the past they tended to break early.

I know we still have snow in Mich. BUT just a feeler to see if there is interest about April for a back road rally out through Hell, Chelsea, Grass lake area. I rode these on my Suzuki and found some good twistys! Could spend a couple hours pushing the pedal and end up in Ann Arbor Brewing co. If there is interest, I will post a thread with dates when weather clears and some Pumpkins come out of storage!
