You dont NEED the R, so skip on it, use the two perfectly good cars you have and save for a place to live.

5-10% or something of the like is what I was hoping I could end up saving for a house when I get one. I'm hoping if I get a job in GR and move I can set up a rent to own situation because that will be the easiest situation for me to save for a house. If not I have a plan b as well.

I hope to at the latest be house hunting early '15 and ideally have one before the end of the year but who knows how life will play out.

Hate to say this but I agree. Is why I'm not driving a diesel truck right now. I've had plenty of chances to jump at some incredible deals but the black car is still chugging along. I'll run that bitch to the ground

Who said anything about need?

I want this shit something bad. I've always wanted one and while this opportunity is here I'm going to try and jump on it.

I'm perfectly happy with my current living situation. Yes I'd like a house but I'm ok with delaying that to get a car I enjoy.

Huge difference between needs and wants. Your money, do as you feel. You have no idea how bad I want a truck. I have the means to do so but to me, house is priority 1. Especially while prices are still so damn low and interest rates are slowly staring to creep back up. The rate I was quoted was 3.375..that's easily gonna be back up around 4-4.5% by 2015. But like I said..your money, do as you feel. I won't hate

I ordered a new camera via Amazon. Chose the standard shipping so that I get it this week. Tracking info says that it arrived in Belleville last night via FedEx. Instead of delivering it today the USPS has to come pick it up so they can make the home delivery and it'll be here tomorrow.

Why would this be the chosen method to get me my package? I've only seen one other company do something like this (LIDS, the hat place) but they use DHL and I don't think they make residential deliveries.
I had an eBay order do that too for my climate control knobs. Was ups, but usps delivered it. Prob the way the cheapest shipping works.

Understood completely. And I probably would have your same mindset if I was in a long term relationship with marriage possibilities as well. Yonks and you and ted all are getting or already have houses and have been dating people for a while.

I would want a house with my lady if I had one and things were that serial as well.

But since I'm single and don't have a kid I'm taking advantage of my freedoms with money while I can.

Aku what does dating someone have to do with buying a house....

NEEDS>WANTS.

There is nothing wrong the Jetta, you just WANT the R. Don't NEED it.

You don't read very well do you...

I don't NEED a house either.... especially if I'm single... I'm perfectly comfortable living at home or renting a place.. If I was in a relationship (again that was a serious one) I'd want to get a place with my lady.

I also said I WANT the R... Arguement invalid
