I've done a CV joint.. and it was actually quite easy. But I replaced the LCA's at the same time, so maybe that helped.

I get off on being a disappointment. Ask my parents.

I couldn't get FF to load for a second and thought that meant both MIVE and FF were down.

wasn't sure how I was going to kill the first part of the morning lol

You had a historical plate on your mk1 right?

my e30 is old enough for one I'm just trying to figure out how much of a hassle it would be with historical plates and if its worth the effort

Yeah I did have an authentic plate on my Rabbit. It's slightly different than historical plates but pretty much the same rules apply. You're technically only allowed to drive to and from shows and what not. Historical plates are the ones that look similar to the regular blue/white plates but say historical on the bottom. Authentic plates are the legit plate from the year your vehicle was produced, it even has to have the sticker tab if they were offered that year.

I only had it on there for a couple months but I did get pulled over in the time frame specifically for the plate. The officer seemed slightly uneducated on the fact my car qualified to legally use that plate. After I showed my proper paperwork everything was all good. I just told him I was coming home from a car show/gathering.

Other than that one time I loved having that plate on there. It was cheap (like 35-45 dollars iirc), looked sweet and you only register it once for life.
