for running the e30 in SM:

Minimum Weight Calculations (without driver):
RWD: 1800 lbs + 200 lbs per liter

So 2400lbs is our min weight goal.

Weight Adjustments
Cars running tires with a rated width of 275 mm or less on all four
wheels may compete at a minimum weight 200 lbs less than their
calculated weight.

So we could run 275/35/15 or 275/35/17 on 15x10 or 17x11 and have a target weight of 2200lbs if we could manage to get that light...

so looking on here, it seems 215/45/16 is the best option for my 16x7 wheels. Anyone have objections?

Ask Scotty what's on the 16" ASA's I believe that's what they are.. or maybe they are 215/50's I'm not sure

the 45's will be better for quicker aceleration. I like this combo better than your other setup you mentioned.
