They need to make a controlled environment dyno/wind tunnel.

Air temp is always 60*, true wind speed, etc. would make dynos a true numbers game vs penor competition.

exactly.

would be nice to eliminate some variables.

unless you did back to back tunes. i.e. pull onto dyno get reading. take outside street tune and pull right back onto dyno then its an invalid argument.

I could go dyno my car today with 40* temps, a fresh oil change and then dyno it again around june/july with 90* temps and easily get a 20-25hp difference on the same dyno.

I'm saying unless you are tuning on the dyno or have some other quantifable data like difference in quarter mile or lap times etc (which still isnt very good data)
then you dont know it actually picked up that sort of power.

dyno's are supposed to be a tuning tool not an e-penor bragging tool.
I agree on the temperature, density altitude etc but, the dyno is calibrated by Mustang once a month, proper vehicular weight and, power at 50 is used so, that theory is thrown out of the window. Then, you also wont gain 100 at the tire on the same dyno with weather and oil changes alone. Also, you must have missed where I stated the car dropped a half second at the track on, a hot humid day, of all days.

But, again what do I know? My cars are all stock and will never be tuned, let alone a race car.

Tom does good tuning! He did a good job on my NA focus build...and he even talked to me on the phone at 9-11pm multiple times to trouble shoot issues with the build (not tune related).

Randy at fswerks did mine. He sent me a base tune. Is like to have it fine tuned, but it peob won't do much for svt. Its pretty maxed out. The car bogged on take offs, and shuddered between 2k-3300 ish really bad in all gears. Dunno what Ford was thinking. Tune changed all that. Felt like a new car
Maybe things changed, but he was reliable and helpful with me!

It would be nice if, they were all loading dynos in a 100% climate controlled environment down to simulating altitudes and all and, were all calibrated to perfection.

From what I've heard, your car is a cobbled together shit box.

Not sure how either could be, they are exactly how they were when they were sold new.

I agree you won't pick up 100hp on weather and oil changes. correct I did miss the part about it dropping time. still adding more boost/fuel on a road tune isn't any different than doing it via email.

for it to be a fair comparo you'd have to get the car re-tuned for the new turbo from the email guy and then have the road tuner do his magic and see what the power difference is.
